Nails, Nails, Nails

Call me dramatic, but finding a new place to get my nails done was one of the more stressful ideas that came with moving to a new city. I’m a creature of habit. I’ve gone to the same hair stylist for years, even when it meant continuing to plan my trips to my hometown around when I needed to get my hair done. When I started getting my nails done, I found a tech I loved and stuck with her until the day before I moved. Forget about making friends, finding a job, and being away from my family – finding a new nail spot was a scary thought. Especially in Toronto, where everything is so expensive you’d think it must be made by the hands of God, himself. But thanks to Instagram, I finally managed to find a salon that does amazing work and doesn’t break the bank. I’m not typically one for crazy nail designs, so I’ve been keeping it on the plain side, but I was amazed by the art that was showcased on their Instagram page (@adore.nailbar).

Yesterday I got the most beautiful neon pastel peach set that fit my spring mood perfectly. I’m obsessed.

This set was from awhile back at the end of January. I was slowly trying to transition from stiletto to coffin shape here, while keeping the length, because who doesn’t want to make everything a little bit more challenging by adding claws onto their fingertips??Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

This was the set that I had up until yesterday, and they were the most beautiful shade of baby blue that was called “Toronto”. How fitting. Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

That’s all for now! Stay tuned for many more fun sets throughout the spring and summer! While I’m a sucker for a good neutral in the fall/winter, something about spring and summer brings out the colour in me. And as you can tell by my new neon claws, I’m already fully diving in.
