A look into my fall closet.

Fall is the best time of the year and don’t try to fight me on it. And while it might have already been winter back home for a month, I’m absolutely loving the experience of living in a place where fall lasts longer than a few weeks.

The fashion is one of the things that people love most about fall, and I couldn’t agree with the people more on this subject. Give me all the orange sweaters. No for real, I have a problem. I step into a store and my eyes go directly to anything that is rust/pumpkin pie/burnt mustard/carrot cake with cream cheese icing coloured. Ok now I’m hungry. But my general rule of thumb is that if it’s the colour that a leaf on the ground could be, I want it.

My first feature is my fall coat that deserves its own post in itself because it is the fall coat of my dreams. It’s soft, its cozy, it’s the perfect pumpkin spiced latte colour, and I think I might be in a deep and meaningful relationship with my fall coat.

One of my favourite stores in Toronto has become M Boutique – they have so many cute items for every season. A few of my favourite items in my summer closet this year were from M, so I was so excited to see their fall collection, and it definitely did not disappoint. I am obsessed with this vibrant red-orange sweater because the colour is stunning and the balloon sleeves are so fun, and on top of that, it’s cozy af.

Also from M Boutique is my absolute favourite item in my fall closet this year – this deep rust coloured cropped knit sweater. I love the way it can be paired with my favourite black denim skirt, or any pair of jeans. These photos don’t show it the best, but this sweater has batwing sleeves that make the sweater so easy to throw on and look cute with anything!

This evergreen sweater is the exception to my warm-toned wardrobe because the colour is stunning and the cut is flattering on my body because of the way it slightly tapers in at the bottom. When I tried it on, I caught a glimpse of what I imagine love at first sight feels like. Paired with my favourite high-waisted jeans or skirt, I feel like a million bucks in this sweater. And it will be perfect for transitioning into the winter/Christmas season!

I wish I had a photo of this top without a jacket over top because it is the most “fall” top of all time. It has loose T-shirt sleeves and cinches at the bottom, and looks so cute with just a black bralette underneath. But this photo is all I have, so i guess we’ll have to take what we get. And an honourable mention is due for my faux-fur coat that makes me feel extra and fabulous every time I put it on.

The perfect cozy sweater dress is a staple in a fall wardrobe. Especially this year, living in Toronto where fall is warm in comparison to the short and sweet season I was used to while growing up in Saskatchewan. I loved being able to actually wear fall dresses and skirts this year and not freeze my butt off. And a sweater dress has to be the easiest thing to throw on with a pair of booties and still look put together.

This concludes my little fall wardrobe tour. While I am by no means a fashion blogger or expert, I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what I’ve been wearing during this cozy fall season!
